Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor is an American producer and actress. She graduated with a B.A. with a major in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer who is active in the fields of theater, film and TV. She began her career as an actor in theater and then went on to be a part of numerous television series, mainstream and independent films. She was known for appearing in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as in BET's epic The Book of Negroes. The two series garnered praise from critics, and she also took home a variety of accolades. In 1995, she made her debut as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. She's appeared on Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. With regards to her film career the most recognizable roles she has played include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. On television, her part on ABC's drama about police High Incident is well known.
