Harry Edward Styles, born 1 February 1994 in the United Kingdom was an English artist and singer. In 2010, Styles began his musical career as a stand-alone contestant for The X Factor in the UK. He was then invited to rejoin One Direction after his defeat. One Direction's boy group was one of the most successful ever, but it was put on hiatus. Styles launched his self-titled debut solo album on Columbia Records in 2017. The album premiered at the high end of charts in the UK as well as the US as well as the UK. It was also one of the top sellers of the year. "Sign of the Times," the title track from The album, took the top spot on charts on the UK Singles Chart. Styles' second album Fine Line (1999), was a best-selling album in the United States. It had the highest first-week total sales for an English male singer. The album was released in 2020. made it into the Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. The fourth track, "Watermelon Sugar", placed first on the US Billboard Hot 100. Styles' third album Harry's House (2022), established many records, and was awarded the Grammy Award in 2023 for Album of the year. According to Billboard the album's no. 1 single "As It was" became the most-listened song all over the world. Styles was awarded numerous accolades such as six Brit Awards and three Grammy Awards, an Ivor Novello Award as well as three American Music Awards.
